The toner is now improved with active botanical ingredients that can assist with regular use, it conditions skin, maintain elasticity and a clear, even skin tone.
Formulated with a soothing base of aloe vera & Artemisia extract, this moisturising essence contains fermented botanical extracts to nourish and moisturise dull skin. Additionally, Gluconolactone is a PHA’s counterpart, and it provides similar effects to glycolic acid, but offers the added benefits of gentleness and antioxidant function.
Due to the stronger new artemisia ingredient, the scent of Deep Rich is much stronger with a different scent. If you prefer the similar scent as our previous Deep Rich, perhaps our Original Toner is suitable for you. (We personally like the scent, however it’s totally up to individual’s)
TIPS: Start by using toners only three times a week to avoid irritation. Then, gradually increase your frequency to once a day and / or twice a day. A little tingling is normal. If still too intense, dilute your toner with a few drops of water or layer a hydrating mist underneath to cut the intensity.

WHAT MAKES FERMENTED SKINCARE INGREDIENTS SPECIAL?
Fermented ingredients have a higher concentration of antioxidants and nutrients than non-fermented versions of the same ingredients. The fermentation process itself also produces additional skin-beneficial ingredients, such as amino acids and peptides. Additionally, fermentation helps break down the ingredients into more readily absorbed constituents, so the positive effects the ingredients have to offer are experienced more fully.
There’s also early but promising scientific evidence that some lactobacillus ferments help treat and prevent acne and rosacea. The mechanism by which this is achieved is still being explored, but the speculation is that this effect is due to a combination of the protective, “shielding” effect lactobacillus provides for skin cells, the antibacterial effect of bacteriocin produced by lactobacillus, and the anti-inflammatory effect of lactobacillus.
